Class Plan: “Chakra Journey Yoga”

As with all my class plans, please use this as a rough outline. Find your own unique expression & voice. Add & edit what feels good to your style of teaching. And, always stay in the moment with your students, speak from your heart & go with the flow.

Chakra Journey Yoga was created as a long experiential type class.

Through this class, I educate my students about what chakras are, and take them on a journey through the 7 chakras that go up our spine & relate to the glands in our endocrine system. For each chakra I picked a few asana postures & affirmations to tie in the energetics of each chakra.

Students LOVE this class!

Feel free to get creative. There are a million ways to structure a class like this. Pick different poses, use your own affirmations, mantras, mudras, whatever resonates with you!

At the end of this class, I do a long (at least 15 minute) guided meditation.

As far as a playlist goes, I use music with no words. Sometimes I will just put on a long YouTube of binaural beats, or something like that.
